Real Estate Training
I am available to develop and deliver training for real estate agents on the topics listed below, or on a topic of interest to you. I have teaching experience as adjunct faculty at two major universities, years of experience as a certified technical trainer, and have taught various subjects to my colleagues at both of the real estate agencies I have been affiliated with.
Commercial Real Estate for the Residential Agent
In this class, I overview the basics of commercial real estate in each of the property types - retail, office, industrial, multi-family, special purpose and land. I then focus on training residential agents on how to serve their clients for tenant, buyer and seller representation on retail, office and industrial property needs. I help them understand, for their particular skills and situation, when to handle the client directly and when to refer to a commercial practitioner.
One agent I know who attended this training developed a commercial practice in medical office properties based on her former experience in the medical industry. This training can also help agents who have handled single-family residential investment properties expand their capabilities to multi-family properties. I have also helped residential agents become more proficient in handling land sales.
Valuation and Positioning of Residential Listings
In this class, I teach the methods I use to evaluate a residential listing and position it against competition for the highest probability of sale. I cover my two-step listing process and my analysis and presentation methods. I teach understanding market statistics, absorption rate pricing, comparative market analysis, evaluation of failed competitors and evaluation of active competition in order to fully educate the seller and position the property for the best chance of a sale.
