New Series - Journey into Oneness

I am delighted to announce that I am beginning a new series titled Journey into Oneness.  The first program will be on Thursday, February 9 at 7 PM.  This event is graciously sponsored by Avalon Light Charlotte, and will be held at their Charlotte showroom, 5200 Park Rd, Suite 108.  Avalon provides light therapy systems to medical practitioners for professional treatments, and to individuals for home use.  Free demonstration sessions will be available during and after the program.

In this series, I will discuss my own spiritual beliefs and the works of other speakers and writers as I explore the underlying principles and the practical ramifications of Oneness.  Oneness is a belief and philosophy that holds that all life is connected, and that humans, as part of life, are connected to each other and to God.  Oneness calls us to see ourselves in every other person, and to treat every other person as we would like to be treated.  This is, of course, the Golden Rule, given to us by Jesus Christ in the biblical account.  I will share my beliefs, documented in my book “God and Love: A Spiritual Philosophy,” to explain why I came to a belief in Oneness, and my goal with this series is to help others understand Oneness and hopefully begin to embrace it.

This first program will serve as an introduction to the series, and a discussion of concepts from the first part of my book.  Further programs in the series will be announced later, but will be presented on a near-monthly basis locally.  If you would like to attend, please pre-register at www.theavaloneffectpassion.com/events.php.  The meeting room can accommodate a reasonable audience, but seating is limited.  I look forward to seeing you there.

The Storm Before the Calm, and Conversations With Humanity

Life Talks is a series of short programs on important aspects of life and techniques through which we can all obtain a more fulfilling experience in our individual and collective lives.

Having drawn an enthusiastic group for the January session, we are continuing our series on Neale Donald Walsch’s “The Storm Before the Calm” in February.  We are engaged in creating a local discussion group to participate in the global discussion about the material presented in this book.  It is not required or necessary to have read the book to participate, although I recommend this book to everyone who is concerned about the direction of our global society, and is looking for a way forward that honors everyone’s current philosophy.  Please join us!

This program will be given on Thursday, November 17 at 7:00 PM at Unity of Charlotte.  Admission is free, and the program is open to all interested attendees.  Voluntary donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the meeting room and to compensate the speaker.  Future programs will be held monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Humanity's Team Carolinas Monthly Meetings

Humanity's Team Carolinas is a regional organization of Humanity's Team, a global spiritual movement for the transformation of society through a belief in Oneness (www.HumanitysTeam.org).  Humanity's Team Carolinas will begin holding monthly meetings in the Charlotte area in November at Unity of Charlotte.

The purpose of these monthly meetings is to provide an opportunity for teammates and the public to learn about Oneness and engage in developing their ability to live from Oneness, in all aspects of life. We believe that it is essential that all people strive to become more centered in love and cooperation in order to change how we live on this planet.
